Cannon Township Historical Society Draws a Full House

The Cannon Township Historical Museum was packed on Sept. 8 for a special presentation by Ian McCormick of the Rockford Area Museum.

More than 60 people attended the Historical Society meeting, creating such a strong turnout that the museum actually ran out of seats.

The evening was a great reminder of just how much interest there is in preserving and learning about our local history. Events like this give residents a chance to connect, hear stories from the past and better understand the people and places that helped shape our community.

The Cannon Township Historical Society shared its appreciation for everyone who attended and said it looks forward to planning more events like this in the future.

If you weren’t able to attend, you may watch the presentation here: Facebook video.
