Independence Day Bostwick Lake Triathlon

  • Event: Independence Day Bostwick Lake Triathlon

  • Location: 7117 Davies Dr.

  • National Anthem: 8:20 a.m.

  • Swim Start: 8:30 a.m.

  • Swim: 0.34 miles along the east shore from 7117 Davies Dr., around the yellow raft at 7269 Davies Dr., and back to the start. Most of the swim is in shallow water.

  • Bike Route: Ramsdell to M-44 to Young to 9 Mile to Ramsdell to 10 Mile to Wabasis to M-44 to Ramsdell and back to Davies.

  • Run: Clockwise around the lake through the cemetery, approximately 3 miles.

  • What to Bring: Bring your own everything. Goggles are strongly encouraged.

  • Transitions: Street-side lawn and driveway.

  • Timing Team: Jay Benda, Bill Mast, Leo Reardon, and Lisa Sikkema.

  • Cost: Free to participate.

  • Rules: No rules. This event is intended for the very loosely defined friends of Bostwick Lake. Do whatever part of the Tri or make up a team for each leg.

  • Spectators: Welcome.

  • Shirts: Shirt orders can be placed at the event.

  • Awards: Likely.

  • Volunteers Needed:

    • Water stations

    • Bike course sign placers

    • Rangers

    • Paddle boarders
