Local Spotlight: RockFit

One of the best parts of living in Cannon Township is seeing local business owners pour their heart and soul into what they do. RockFit is a great example.

RockFit is a locally owned, 24/7 gym located in the strip near Ramsdell and M-44. Owners Tarryn and Jordan LaFreniere, have really invested their time, energy and ideas into elevating the space this year, and it shows.

Of course, the 24/7 access is a huge benefit for anyone trying to fit fitness into a busy schedule. But what really stands out to me is the community they are building inside the gym.

Tarryn asked me to participate in the first round of their six-week training program, and it was such a positive experience. Not only did it help me learn new exercises and stay accountable, but it also introduced me to new people from Cannon. And like any good gym should, it came with plenty of encouragement and positive reinforcement along the way.

RockFit also recently started a new program that allows parents to come work out while kids have their own “training” area. I love this idea. Getting kids around healthy habits early is such a gift. Plus, anything that makes it easier for parents to prioritize their own health is a win in my book.

I’m always excited to see local businesses creating spaces that bring people together, support families and make our community healthier.
