Cannon Township has launched an exciting new initiative to encourage kids to explore the great outdoors this summer. The "Youth, Summer Lingo, Bingo" program aims to get kids outside, engaging with nature, and learning about their community.
Participants can pick up bingo cards at the Cannon Township offices or download them from the township's website. Each bingo card features a variety of activities that encourage kids to explore local parks, identify wildlife, and participate in community events.
Once a child completes a row on the bingo card, they can bring it to the Cannon Township Fire Department on Belding Road to receive a voucher for a free ice cream cone from Cowlicks and a special Cannon Township sticker. This fun and educational program not only promotes outdoor activity but also provides a sweet incentive for kids to participate.
Cannon Township Trustee Cy Balk emphasized the program's goal of fostering a sense of community and encouraging kids to discover the natural beauty of their surroundings. "It's a great way to get kids involved in their community and excited about spending time outdoors," he said.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to help their children participate in the bingo activities, making it a family-friendly endeavor that can create lasting memories. For more information and to download the bingo cards, visit the Cannon Township website.
Get out there, have fun, and enjoy some delicious ice cream this summer!
