Set your sights on Summerfest!
Summerfest returns at the Izaak Walton League with Outdoor Adventures, Nature Activities, and Lunch.
This free community event offers hands-on opportunities for children and adults to connect with nature and experience a variety of outdoor activities. Attendees can explore archery, fishing, canoeing and kayaking, scavenger hunts, creek critter discovery, native plants, hiking trails, and more.
A complimentary lunch will be provided from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., giving families an opportunity to relax, connect with other nature enthusiasts, and learn more about local conservation efforts.
The event will be held at the Izaak Walton League – Dwight Lydell Chapter, located at 5641 Myers Lake Avenue NE, just north of 10 Mile Road in Rockford.
The Izaak Walton League is one of America's oldest conservation organizations, dedicated to protecting natural resources and promoting outdoor recreation, environmental stewardship, and conservation education. The Dwight Lydell Chapter continues that mission locally by providing educational programs, habitat restoration projects, and family-friendly outdoor activities throughout the year.
Admission is free and open to the public.
